Plot summary
Noel sells Christmas trees in New York City, work he has done every December for years, coming down from upstate New York for the season. He is heartbroken. This year he arrives without his long-time girlfriend, who used to work those Decembers with him, and he finds the selling impossible. He lives in a trailer and takes the night shift. He came back hoping to put his past behind him. Instead he begins to spiral downward, alienating the customers and the co-workers around him.
