John Beck

Biography

John Beck, born in Chicago, is an American retired actor who grew up in Evanston and Joliet, Illinois, and first took to the stage in a high school play before moving to California to work in television commercials. He made his television debut in a 1965 episode of I Dream of Jeannie, and his first regular role came on the western series Nichols alongside James Garner. His film work includes Erno in Woody Allen's Sleeper (1973), John W. Poe in Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid (1973), and Moonpie in Rollerball (1975), along with The Big Bus (1976), The Other Side of Midnight (1977) and Audrey Rose (1977). He is best known for playing Mark Graison across 67 episodes of Dallas, and he voiced the Punisher in Spider-Man: The Animated Series.
