Joey Sagal

Joey Sagal is an American actor and screenwriter, born in Los Angeles as the son of the film director Boris Sagal. He originated the role of The Visitor in the Steppenwolf Theatre Company's world premiere staging of Steve Martin's play Picasso at the Lapin Agile at the Geffen Playhouse, performing it 357 times. Meeting Elvis Presley on the set of Girl Happy, his father's 1965 film, inspired him to take the role of Elvis himself, first on stage and then in Elvis & Nixon (2016), which he wrote, executive produced and acted in. For New Line Cinema he played the stoner Toker in Quiet Cool (1986) and the Drunk in The Hidden (1987), and he was the supervillain Gunn in the DC movie The Return of Swamp Thing (1989). His other credits include Stephen King's miniseries Nightmares and Dreamscapes, a comedic George Clooney in Not Another Celebrity Movie (2013), and a return to Elvis in the series The Chronicle.
