Big break
Preminger came across a photo of Haworth in a modeling magazine for the Corona Theatre School, after he had looked at hundreds of girls.
A role that slipped away
Haworth was considered for the title role of Dolores "Lolita" Haze in Lolita (1962), opposite James Mason, but Preminger blocked the casting because he believed it would not benefit her as an actor.
A role that slipped away
Haworth declined a role on Hawaii Five-O. She did so because Jack Lord, the show's star, had a reputation as a hard-driving perfectionist.
