Plot summary
On Halloween night, journalist Miss Quinn visits the Statesville Mental Hospital for an interview with Warden Kane, who presents five of its most notorious inmates: Jeffrey Ramses, the chef called Animal the Cannibal; dentist Bradford Young, known as Dr. Suave; Walter Harris, the Taxidermist; Rocco the Clown, an underground wrestler; and Manual Dyer, a cult leader nicknamed Mental Manny. At the Macon County Funhouse, proprietor Dennis has themed the mazes of his Land of Illusions Haunted Scream Park on those crimes. The killers reach the park as it opens, and the patrons take the violence for part of the attraction. Diner coworkers Morgan, Laurie, Christina and Jacob, with their friends Mikey and Randall, arrive for the haunt; Gerardo drives them and then leaves. Sheriff Kate Hodges and Deputy Doyle look into a killing at a motel.
