Jaclyn Smith
Biography
Jaclyn Smith is an American actress from Houston who started out in 1968 with small parts, among them an uncredited turn in Goodbye, Columbus (1969). Her big break came in 1976, when she was cast as the detective Kelly Garrett on Charlie's Angels with Kate Jackson and Farrah Fawcett; she stayed with the show for all five seasons until 1981, the only one of the original three leads to appear across the whole run. A Golden Globe nomination followed for playing the title part in the television film Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy (1981), and she went on to star in many small-screen movies, including Escape from Bogen County (1977), The Night They Saved Christmas (1984), Florence Nightingale (1985) and Déjà Vu (1985). She returned to Kelly Garrett for cameos in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003) and Charlie's Angels (2019), had a recurring part on The District from 2002 to 2004, and built her own clothing and perfume lines.
