Biography

Frank Hoyt Taylor is an actor from Norton, in the coalfields of southwestern Virginia. He earned an English degree at the University of Virginia at Wise and joined Roadside Theatre, then a new company within Appalachian Film Workshop. His film career started with Matewan, directed by John Sayles, and The River (1984), directed by Mark Rydell. He played Uncle Bogg on the television series Christy.
