Demetri Martin
Biography
Demetri Martin is an American comedian, actor, writer, director and musician who began performing stand-up in 1997 and landed his first big break on Comedy Central's Premium Blend in 2001. He won the Perrier Award at the 2003 Edinburgh Festival Fringe for his show If I..., then wrote for Late Night with Conan O'Brien from 2003 to 2004. From 2005 to 2008 he was the Senior Youth Correspondent on The Daily Show, and he hosted and starred in Important Things With Demetri Martin from 2009 to 2010. His deadpan one-liners, jokes with his guitar and satirical cartoons shaped his stand-up, and he released albums including These Are Jokes and The Overthinker (2018). He appeared in The Rocker (2008) and Taking Woodstock (2009), voiced Ice Bear in We Bare Bears, and wrote, directed and starred in Dean (2016).
