Aubrey Morris
Biography
Aubrey Morris was a British actor who worked on stage, in films and on television. One of nine children, he was born in Portsmouth and trained at RADA, and he made his first stage appearance in 1944 in The Winter's Tale at the Open Air Theatre in Regent's Park. He joined The Old Vic for two years in the 1950s and also appeared on Broadway. He featured in more than fifty films, among them A Clockwork Orange (1971), in which he played P. R. Deltoid, The Wicker Man (1973), Love and Death (1975), Lisztomania (1975) and The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother (1975). His television work began with the BBC comedy Fly Away Peter (1948) and later took in British series such as Z-Cars and Lovejoy, plus American productions including the Columbo movie Ashes to Ashes (1998) and Bordello of Blood (1996).
