Ashley Olsen

Biography

Ashley Olsen is an American former actress turned businesswoman and fashion designer. She and her twin Mary-Kate shared the role of Michelle Tanner on the sitcom Full House from 1987 to 1995. Their early success led to Dualstar Entertainment Group, founded in 1993, which produced many television movies and direct-to-video releases for them. The sisters starred in It Takes Two (1995), Passport to Paris (1999), Our Lips Are Sealed (2000), Winning London (2001), and Holiday in the Sun (2001), and later in Getting There (2002) and The Challenge (2003). New York Minute (2004) was their last film together. Olsen later made minor appearances in The Jerk Theory (2009) and I'm Still Here (2010), and in a 2013 music video for City of Angels by Thirty Seconds to Mars. In March 2012 she and Mary-Kate announced plans to retire from acting and concentrate on fashion. Olsen co-founded The Row, Elizabeth and James, Olsenboye and StyleMint and co-authored Influence.
