Plot summary

Melanie and Allyson Porter are thirteen-year-old twins whose main interest is boys. Their parents want them to see more of the world, so they send them to Paris for spring break to stay with their grandfather Edward, the American ambassador to France. Edward is caught up in diplomatic duties and has no time for them, and his assistant Jeremy Bluff keeps them to a daily itinerary. The mansion comes with house rules about music, the furniture, and dressing for dinner. Over lunch one day they meet Brigitte, a French fashion model who offers to show them the sights, and Jean and Michel, two teenage boys who give them roses. The twins slip away from Jeremy to ride mopeds through Paris with the boys.
