Anthony Eisley

Anthony Eisley was an American actor who served in the United States Navy, studied drama at the University of Miami, and began his career with a Pennsylvania stock company staging of A Slight Case of Murder. He also toured in Mister Roberts, Picnic, and The Desperate Hours. His first screen role was a military policeman in Fearless Fagan in 1952, and his big break came with a Pasadena production of Who Was That Lady?, which led to a Warner Bros. contract and a name change from Fred to Anthony. He starred as detective Tracy Steele in Hawaiian Eye from 1959 to 1963. His films included The Wasp Woman (1959), The Naked Kiss (1964), Frankie and Johnny (1966), Star! (1968), Journey to the Center of Time (1967), The Mighty Gorga (1969), Dracula vs. Frankenstein (1971), The Doll Squad (1973), and Deep Space (1988), and he became known as a cult schlock star. He died in 2003.
