Scott Brady
Biography
Scott Brady was an American film and television actor who became known for Westerns and for a steady stream of television parts. Born Gerard Kenneth Tierney in Brooklyn and raised in Westchester County, he was the brother of the actors Lawrence and Edward Tierney and trained at the Beverly Hills Drama School before making his 1948 debut as a boxer in In This Corner. Tough-guy roles followed in He Walked by Night (1949) and Undertow (1949), and he took the romantic comedy lead in The Model and the Marriage Broker. From 1959 to 1961 he starred as the title character of the Western series Shotgun Slade, which ran for 78 episodes, and he went on to guest spots in many other Western shows. His other films included Ambush at Cimarron Pass (1958), the film $ (1971) and Gremlins (1984), in which he played Sheriff Frank Reilly in his final screen role. He died in 1985.
