Plot summary
At Walton University, shy freshman Devon Weisz hopes to reinvent herself after years without friends. At orientation she meets Celeste Durand, whose confidence and warmth impress her, and Devon invites her to share a room in the honor student dorm. Celeste accepts, and the pair get along at first. They plan a spring break trip to Panama City with their dormmates, which Devon pays for with her parents' emergency credit card. At a party she falls for Michael, a senior. Dean of Student Life Robyn Schilling tells Devon and Celeste's story to Luna and Auguste, two roommates whose own feud has brought them to her office.
