Plot summary
Amelia Hughes is a Chicago app developer with a career-first outlook, and the Christmas season passes her by without much notice. As the holiday approaches she travels back to Christmas Creek, the small town she came from, to look for the meaning of the season again. There she reunites with Mike, a best friend from her childhood, and with Harry, her uncle, who has been estranged from the family. Harry and Amelia's father had a rift that split the family over a Christmas when Amelia was a child, and the cause of it is unexplained. Amelia joins the town's holiday events and falls for Mike, and the Christmas spirit comes back to her.
