Plot summary
Hopalong Cassidy and Lucky Jenkins, old friends from the Bar-20 Ranch, are sent for by Marshal Windy Halliday, who has a gang of rustlers on his hands. The outlaws answer to Stiff-Hat Bailey, and the herd they are after belongs to Mary Joyce, the woman whose ranch they mean to take. Confidence men are also at work trying to get hold of her cattle. Cassidy takes an interest in Mary, and he and Lucky join the marshal against Bailey's crowd. Tex Traynor rides among Bailey's men. Singing cowhands perform numbers such as "Hi Thar Stranger" and "Lazy Rolls the Rio Grande."
