Rampo Noir (2005) on Netflix

Plot summary

Four segments adapt stories by Edogawa Ranpo. In Mars Canal, told without speech, a naked man walks a desolate landscape and remembers his last meeting with a former lover. In Mirror Hell, women are found with burnt faces and charred skulls, and the detective Kogoro Akechi investigates a hand mirror that appears at each scene. In Caterpillar, a war hero comes home deaf, without limbs, and able to see; his wife, weary of nursing him, begins to torture him for amusement. In Crawling Bugs, an actress leaves the stage after a successful night and rides home in a limo whose driver has decided she should come home with him.
