Proxy (2014) on Netflix

Plot summary

Esther Woodhouse, who is heavily pregnant, is knocked unconscious on her way home from a doctor's appointment by an assailant in a hoodie. The attacker hits her stomach with a brick. Emergency room doctors deliver the baby by cesarean section, but the child is stillborn, and the assault leaves Esther disfigured. The pregnancy came from a sperm donor, and no family or friends appear at the hospital. A social worker there suggests she join a group for parents dealing with loss. Esther goes, and she becomes friends with Melanie Michaels, who says a drunk driver killed her husband and child.
