Plot summary
Rafi Gardet is a 37-year-old photography producer in Manhattan, recently divorced. David Bloomberg is a 23-year-old painter from the Upper West Side who lives with his grandparents. They become romantically involved. Rafi tells her therapist, Lisa Metzger, about the relationship, and Lisa is helping her work through a fear of intimacy. Lisa is David's mother, and Rafi does not know. Rafi and David face a 14-year age gap and different backgrounds.
