Plot summary

Wayne Fletcher, an attorney, is carrying on with his secretary, a woman from a wealthy family, and he intends to divorce his wife and marry her. His wife is then found suffocated, and he becomes the prime suspect in her death. A medium whose motives are questionable tries to reach the dead woman. The police investigate the killing. The film is the sixth of the Inner Sanctum Mysteries, a series drawn from a radio program of the same name. It is the only entry that does without the crystal-ball prologue with a disembodied head, and the only one with comic-relief characters.
