A wealthy woman dreads being buried alive. She has a loud horn installed inside her crypt, so that if she wakes below ground she can sound it, and after her death she is buried there with the horn. Her will has not yet been read when her heirs begin to die mysteriously. A shrilling horn inside the family mausoleum comes before each of the deaths. Lt. Valcour, a policeman, takes the case and looks into a woman's link to the murders.
