Plot summary
In 1982 the summer cheerleading camp at It Had To Be University in Indiana reopens, almost twenty years after its closure. Bambi arrives as the instructor. The maintenance man Pepe and his mother Salt warn her the place is cursed, and she ignores them. Candy is about to board a bus to camp when her religious fanatic mother tries to stop her, and red beams from Candy's eyes lift the woman into the air. Glenn Dandy bids his eccentric family farewell before he leaves. Mandy's father introduces her in a pageant-style interview. Sandy gets directions to camp at a food truck, then decides to hitchhike and asks each driver for references. Andy and Randy, two lecherous male cheerleaders, smoke marijuana while driving. Reginald Cooper, a Canadian Mountie, telephones Warden June about the camp.

- Producers Doug Chapin and Barry Krost offered Alfred Sole Thursday the 12th, an original screenplay by Jaime Klein and Richard Whitley, who wrote it after screening an entry of Friday the 13th and finding it ridiculous enough to parody. The parody elements were later downplayed in favour of broad comedy.
- Pandemonium was the last feature film Eve Arden appeared in, and also the last feature that director Alfred Sole made in his career.
