Plot summary
Clifford Godfrey designs doll's houses. Hours before he is due to leave for a vacation in Mexico, his fiancée ends their engagement. Clare Enfield, a travel agent, tells him the tickets are non-refundable. Upset, Clifford stops at a bar, where he falls in with Amanda Hughes, whose wealthy boyfriend Max has just gone back to his estranged wife. Amanda agrees to travel to Mexico with him. Sober the next morning, she has no memory of sleeping with him or of the journey, but he persuades her to stay for the getaway.
