Plot summary
Zac and Eva are a brother and sister who live with their parents on a walled farm. The two share a gift: each can travel to any spot in sight. Their father, Daniel, calls the ability unnatural and forbids them to use it. Their mother, Elizabeth, is frail and suffers seizures in which she cannot breathe, and Daniel takes her illness as punishment from God. When the two slip out one night and Elizabeth has a near-fatal seizure, Daniel nails their clothes to their bedroom walls so they cannot get away. Eva keeps using the gift.
