Plot summary
Andre Bertier is a Parisian doctor happily married to Colette, and his female patients are surprised that he stays faithful. When Colette introduces him to her flirtatious best friend Mitzi Olivier, Mitzi insists that Andre treat her. Andre tries hard to resist her advances, but she keeps pursuing him and is very cute, so he gives in. Mitzi's husband, Professor Olivier, wants a divorce and has been having his wife followed by a private detective.

- Ernst Lubitsch was set to direct One Hour with You but his previous film, The Man I Killed, ran over schedule, so George Cukor was assigned instead. Two weeks into filming, conflicts between Maurice Chevalier and Cukor brought Lubitsch back, and Cukor remained on the set.
- Ernst Lubitsch and George Cukor each demanded sole credit for directing and the matter was litigated in court. Before a judgment came, Cukor received a credit for assisting the direction and the right to break his contract with Paramount in order to direct What Price Hollywood? at RKO.
- The casting could have been different: Carole Lombard and Kay Francis were the first choices to costar in One Hour with You.
