Plot summary
Charlie Reed and Dan Rayburn have worked together as business partners and close friends for three decades, running a sports marketing firm in Manhattan. Their firm is close to a major contract with a Japanese company, and only two weeks remain to finalize it. Nearly nine years earlier, Dan married Vicki on a drunken impulse; the marriage was annulled the next day. Vicki now reappears and tells Dan they had twins, Zach and Emily, who are seven. Vicki faces jail over a political protest and asks Dan to look after the children. Dan agrees, provided Charlie helps him, since neither man has looked after kids before.
