Plot summary

In 1977, two boys live in a junkyard with their father, Jimmy, who follows a police radio for reports of car accidents. He takes them in a stolen ambulance to crash scenes, posing as a paramedic. Motorists have vanished in the Pine Barrens along Ash Pine Road over twenty years. In the present day, the grown brothers, Darryl and Jon Roy, work that same road. Amy is a teenager ostracized by classmates over her breast size; her firefighter father has died and her mother, Mary, has begun dating. Amy's friendship with Angel has come apart over Angel's boyfriend, Brad.
