Plot summary
Jack LeBlanc, a heavily-scarred introvert, is haunted by a tragic past. He signs up for a Phase I clinical trial of a medication called Obsidian. Obsidian is a new drug for tissue regeneration. Dr. James Walsh, a respected pharmacologist, runs the trial. He keeps the volunteers under surveillance. Jack is one of a group of hopeful volunteers. The medication is described as miraculous.
