Plot summary
Trustees of the Van Traylen Orphanage begin dying one after another, and the deaths are first dismissed as coincidence. A school bus accident nearly kills three more trustees and a group of orphans. Col. Charles Bingham and his pathologist friend Sir Mark Ashley look into the deaths. They believe the key may be Mary Valley, a girl from the bus who remembers events she could not have witnessed.
