Plot summary
Bill Greer runs a ranch on the Texas side of the Rio Grande with his wife Monica and their sons, Jackson and Lucas. People crossing from Mexico cut the fences and let the livestock go, and the family is close to losing the land. Gustavo, once a smuggler, leads his son Fernando toward the river and meets Luis, who heads the crossing operation. One night Bill and Lucas are out on patrol when Gustavo's group comes onto their ground. Guns are drawn; Lucas is shot in the struggle, and Jackson, fearing for his father, fires and kills Fernando. Ranger Ramirez questions Bill, who says the shot was his. Jackson rides across the river into Mexico.
