Plot summary
The story is set in New America in 2097, twenty years after the nuclear apocalypse. Tex Kennedy, the last of the Kennedy family, crosses the country. Quincy the Robot and Yul the Robot, machines that once worked for the secret service, go with him, as does Cannibal Sue, a woman who eats people. They are looking for the Threshold of Hell, an area said to be dangerous, and for a radio tower. From that tower Tex Kennedy hopes to reach the survivors of the apocalypse and unite them.
