Plot summary
Taylor Jacobson loses her job at Clotz' Cookies just before Christmas, with her rent already overdue. Her daughter Zoey wants to join a local snowboarding class, so Taylor applies at Sun Peak, after her brother Eric and Kenny find that resort employees get a discount. The resort is not hiring, but Taylor overhears Natasha Burton, the marketing vice president, say that its Santa has retired. Eric and Kenny disguise Taylor as an elderly man for an interview as Hugh Mann. She arrives late, as does Matthew Layne, the owner's son, who is acting general manager. Natasha pushes him to approve the newcomer. Matthew tells Hugh they have met before; Taylor recalls a used record shop where he recognized her from her teenage band, The Screaming Kittens.
