My Best Friend's Exorcism (2022) on Netflix

Plot summary

High school sophomores Abby Rivers and Gretchen Lang have been friends since fourth grade, and Gretchen's family is preparing to move away over the summer. With Margaret Chisholm and Glee Tanaka, the two spend a weekend at Margaret's family lake house in 1988, where Margaret's boyfriend Wallace Stoney brings LSD and everyone except Abby goes skinny-dipping. After a comment about Abby's acne, Abby walks off and Gretchen follows to comfort her. The pair cross to an abandoned shack said to be the site of a ritualistic Satanic murder and flee what they find inside. An unseen force drags Gretchen away; when Abby comes back with Margaret and Glee, Gretchen is in shock. Back at school, Gretchen turns aloof and her appearance worsens, and Abby looks for a way to help her.
