My Best Friend (2006) on Netflix

Plot summary

François, a Parisian art dealer, believes he has everything he wants. At a dinner with the people he counts among his closest acquaintances, the talk turns to a funeral he attended, and the guests say that nobody would come to his own. They do not believe he has friends; in truth he has only clients. His business partner Catherine wagers that he cannot present a best friend within ten days, and if he fails, the antique Greek vase he acquired that day on the company's account is hers. François accepts and works through his address book, but the old contacts he visits in Paris turn him down. In his taxi he keeps meeting Bruno, a driver who loves trivia and gets along easily with strangers.
