Plot summary
Philippe, an aristocratic millionaire left quadriplegic by a paragliding accident, owns a grand house in Paris and depends on others for everything. With his secretary Magalie he interviews applicants for the post of live-in carer. Driss, who comes from the projects and has no interest in the job, cuts the line of candidates to have a form signed so that his unemployment benefit continues, and Philippe tells him to return the next morning. There Yvonne, Philippe's aide, tells him he has the position on a trial basis. Inexperienced and uninterested, Driss moves into the mansion, learns the extent of Philippe's disability, and looks after every part of his daily life in ways of his own.
