Plot summary
Régis and Joël Grosdésir are half-brothers of Antillean descent, summoned to the French Antilles to the deathbed of the father they are estranged from. His only legacy to them is the family treasure: the manumission certificate that had released their common ancestor from slavery. The brothers tear it up and mock it while their aunt watches. Enraged, she casts a spell on them. The two men find themselves in the 18th century, in the era of the French colonies, where they are taken and sold as slaves. To return to their own lives, they must help their great-grandparents meet and fall in love.
