Plot summary
Nandi has made his own way in the world and is certain that destiny, not his parents, will decide whom he marries. His parents hold to tradition and to the match they have already chosen for their only son, and he cannot bring himself to comply. Then he meets Ella, a free-spirited Filipina who is in Mumbai on business, and the two fall for each other. The old customs his family holds to and the interracial gap between them press against the romance. Ella leaves Mumbai unexpectedly, and Nandi sets out for the Philippines to find her, torn between his parents' will and his own heart.
