Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Kelsey Grammer was the producers' first choice to play gang leader Darius Grouch III in Money Plane, but they did not expect him to accept; Grammer surprised them by taking the part, calling it a fun, "mustache-twirling" character.
- Money Plane's low budget and rushed schedule forced director Andrew Lawrence to shoot around the sets' availability: the plane set was still being built while filming, so he picked whichever corners were finished and shot scenes there.
