Plot summary
Facing twenty to twenty-five years in prison, Philadelphia mobster Carmine "The Beans" Pasquale makes a deal with the FBI and agrees to testify about his boss. Agents give him, his wife Gina and their son Vincent new identities and move them to Happy Valley, Utah, where they become George, Linda and Patrick Cheeseman. The Catholic family and the town's Mormon residents are a puzzle to one another. Some keep their distance from the newcomers, while others press welcomes on them. Neighbor Michael Jaymes tries to help Carmine settle in, though the town has no horse track and no decent cup of coffee. In the local ward, a bishop has moved away and a new one must be chosen.

- Writer-director John E. Moyer had written the part of Michael Jaymes' wife specially for Britani Bateman, and when he learned during casting that she was pregnant he reworked the script so that her character would be pregnant too.
- Moyer wanted Dave Nibley of The Best Two Years as FBI agent Tuttle, but Nibley's schedule clashed with the shoot, so the director took the role himself.
