Plot summary
Diana and Andy Douglas have been trying for a baby for eleven months, and a doctor's visit brings news about Diana's ovary: her chance of a natural pregnancy is about one in ten thousand. Diana has always wanted a child, and Andy wants one just as much. Charlie Winwood is an orphan who wants children of his own, but his wife Barbie, an aspiring actress, is not sure she wants to become a mother. Brad Coleman already has a grown daughter, and when she announces that she is pregnant, he and Pilar decide to try for a baby themselves, though their ages make it difficult.
