Plot summary
Miley Cyrus allows cameras into her life as she prepares to release her fourth studio album Bangerz and move beyond her earlier image. She states that the movement should be bigger than just a record. She finalizes the album's artwork and track listing, makes publicity appearances, and rehearses for her 2013 MTV Video Music Awards performance of "We Can't Stop." The documentary shows her confidence as she deals with a brief illness during rehearsals and frustration when a planned entrance does not work out. Her mother appears and recalls initial hesitation about her collaborations with hip-hop producers.
