Metalhead (2013) on Netflix

Plot summary

Hera Karlsdóttir lives with her family on a farm in a small Icelandic village. One afternoon she sees her older brother Baldur fall from a tractor, and he dies of his injuries. At the funeral she glares at a portrait of Jesus and runs out of the church. Back home she picks up his guitar, looks at the metal posters covering his bedroom walls, burns her old clothes and takes on his music and his way of dressing. Nine years on, at twenty-one, she is still grieving alongside her parents, Droplaug and Karl, and apart from the village, where other youths call her a Satanist. She plays loud music at home, and a slaughterhouse fires her for playing metal over its loudspeakers. Her parents sing in the church choir, where they meet Janus, the new priest.
