Plot summary
A patchwork family comes together for the holiday. Sara had three husbands before she fell in love with Jan, and she brought a child from each of those marriages into the household; Jan was married once before and brought a child as well. Sara has planned a surprise for Christmas Eve: all their ex-spouses, with the new partners and the children, will celebrate with them. The guests include her former husbands Gunnar, Andi and Erich, Erich's wife Pauline, Andi's wife Rita, and Jan's ex-wife Eva. Jan learned of the plan and is less than thrilled about spending the holidays with Sara's mother.
