Biography

Alexandra Neldel is a German actress who was born in West Berlin in 1976 and entered show business after a casting agency discovered her at a polo competition in 1992. With no acting experience and no formal training, she won a role in the daily soap opera Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten and stayed until 1999. She then appeared in German films and television productions, among them Lammbock (2001), Samba in Mettmann, and the Emmy-winning Berlin, Berlin. In 2005 she took the part of Lisa Plenske in Verliebt in Berlin, described as the most successful German daily soap opera, and left after 365 episodes. The following year brought her the title of best European soap actress and the Rose d'Or. Verliebt in Berlin was also shown in France, where it became the most successful German series there.
