Plot summary
Ada and Calvin have been together for years, and they have struggled with sexual dysfunction for much of that time. Ada believes the trouble is rooted in her childhood: she carries disturbing, fragmented memories of it that she has never been able to assemble into a whole, and she suspects they are what stands between her and Calvin. The two of them travel to the rural Oklahoma town where Ada grew up, and there she sets out to piece those memories back together, hoping that facing the nightmares will let her overcome them. The town carries a dark and mysterious history of its own.
