Plot summary
In the distant future, Earth has been left nearly uninhabitable by overpopulation, pollution and the eruption of the Yellowstone volcano. Humanity now lives on Mars, in cities built to resemble those on Earth and shielded from the alien environment by dome-like force-fields. A sandstorm of record strength has broken through the dome over Mars New York and destroyed the city. Those in Mars Los Angeles must work out how to stop the storm before it reaches them next. Terraforming on Mars reawakened dormant volcanoes, giving the storm its power.
