Plot summary
Life is discovered on Mars, which sets NASA and the ESA racing toward the planet. One side sends an artificially intelligent robot. The other sends a crew of three, Charlie Brownsville, Hank Morrison and Dr. Casey Cook, on the first manned mission to Mars. On the way they face accidents, moments of self doubt, reporters who pester them and long, dull stretches of space travel.
