Marley & Me: The Puppy Years (2011) on Netflix

Plot summary

With his mother Carol away on a business trip, Bodi Grogan spends the summer at his grandfather Fred's house, where Fred is strict about chores. Bodi is minding Marley, a puppy some people call the world's worst dog, and Marley talks. On a skateboard ride, Bodi meets Kaycee, whose parents run a pug rescue center; she tells him about a local puppy championship and suggests he enter Marley. The rules call for a team of three dogs, so Kaycee points Bodi to Mrs. Crouch and her two Labrador puppies, Fuchsia and Moose. The three dogs train together for the course. They face last year's champion, Hans Von Weiselberger, who shocks his own puppies into obedience.
