Plot summary
The documentary follows Paul McCartney from his departure from The Beatles through the start of his solo career and the formation of Wings with his wife Linda. In April 1970 he makes public that the group is no more, and the expectations placed on an ex-Beatle follow him into the decade. Linda is part of the music he writes through the 1970s, the years in which Wings score numerous hits. Other musicians of the era appear in the footage. The film is assembled from home video, unseen archive and concert material, with voiceover interviews, and coincides with a box set and a book about the band.
