Plot summary
Angela and Jackson are American siblings living in 1986 Scotland. With a small crew they stage hauntings for clients who think their homes are haunted, presenting Angela as a medium and leaning on their late mother's name. The money mostly goes to Jackson's debts. Angela has hallucinations, much like the voices and visions her mother described. When a new client, Mrs. Greene, asks about screaming girls in her house, Angela looks into the property's past: fifteen years earlier, foster children there had been killed with their mouths stitched closed, and Mrs. Greene's son Herman took the blame. Angela turns the job down, but Jackson, needing cash, accepts it anyway.
